Red Hot Juba plays Hot Country-Fide Jazz and Green Mountain Swing. The band doesn't even know what they'll play next from their vast repertoire of Hot Jazz, Blues, Swing, Bluegrass, Country, and a healthy dose of experimentalism and spontaneity. With a mix of "familiar songs that you have never heard" and and ever-increasing array of original tunes, the music of Red Hot Juba is an energetic, constantly inventive, swingin' upbeat time.
D. Davis (D.Davis@RedHotJuba.com) - A true renaissance musician, D has been playing the guitar for the better part of 25 years. He divides his time between Red Hot Juba, and a never-ending array of side projects and musical and artistic scenarios. D will occasionally show his facility on the mandolin, harmonica, keyboards, and string bass with Juba.
Eric Krull (Eric@RedHotJuba.com) - Admitted "song-stealer" and de facto frontman; Eric is on a constant and restless search for new inspiration. He seeks to add a wrinkle to many Juba arrangements, just to keep people on their toes. He is finally breaking through some of his hang-ups and committing to some original song ideas. Don't be afraid if you also see him attempting to shape the minds of the future.
Bryan “Aubin” Aubin (Aubin@RedHotJuba.com) - Traps, brass, vocals, guitar, and banjo, 5th generation Vermonter; Aubin is a deep well of talent, adding just the right textures to the Juba thang. He showed up to a campfire with a snare drum and, though maybe it was the beer, it seemed to sound just right. He’ll even pick up the trumpet a couple times a night. “How could that horn-guy also be the drummer?”
Steve Goldman (Steve@RedHotJuba.com) - "Downright" bassist, vocals, and webmaster; Steve barely skipped a beat when the band said to him "you play a great guitar man, wanna play bass?" Steve's solid thump and sweet harmonies add deeper layers to Juba's sound. Steve has been in several local bands as guitarist and vocalist, including Face the Woods, Soul Purpose, and Damaged Goods.
Brian Wichert - spiritual adviser, composer, recording technician, and original upright bassist; the limits of Brian's talents haven't yet shown themselves. Rock-solid bassist and guy, Brian fit the bill when the band needed some stability and bottom end. Brian is now in LA practicing the fine art of recording engineering and writing and recording with his wife, Xine, and their band The Make Mentions. Until we can lure them back to Vermont, that is....
